Matthew Angel
Matt is an intellectual property solicitor with over 20 years’ experience of high-profile deal-making and contract negotiation in the global television industry.
He has held numerous senior in-house positions within the TV sector, including Global Head of Business Affairs at Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment; Vice President of Business Affairs at Granada America (based in Los Angeles); Controller of Business Affairs, Non-Scripted at ITV Studios; Controller of Legal & Business Affairs at super-indie All3Media; and Director of Legal & Business Affairs at James Corden’s Fulwell 73. He has also worked at the British Film Institute.
In addition, Matt has senior operational experience, having served as Chief Operating Officer of Objective Media Group, where he oversaw a significant growth in the group’s revenue.
He has a wealth of experience dealing with agreements throughout the entire life-cycle of television programming, from creation and development through to commission, distribution and ancillary exploitation. He has acted for large production groups, broadcasters, independent production companies, start-ups, distributors, studios, on-screen talent, television executives, individual creators and talent agencies across all programming genres, both in the UK and abroad.
